If he signed the contract and the authorities registered him as a Cardiff player then they signed him and they have to pay the fee, if not there would definetly be a case that they wouldn't have to pay...right?

It was all done with Nantes' blessing, so it must just be the way it's done.

You'd think the Premier League would step in and protect the image of the game and their 'product' as this is just going to turn into a shit show.
Why were Cardiff flying a player over to start training with them if he wasn't owned by them?

It might seem cold but Cardiff is not just a football club it is a business too and whether you like it or not technicality matters it is not about what is right but what is absolute in fact on paper.
What makes me laugh I kid you not I wrote the first two lines of this and thought is Cardiff a PLC? you know as in business and whilst searching and I had no idea about the Cardiff Chairmen being a Turkish Cypriot, that made me chuckle.

The man who brokered the deal that brought Emiliano Sala to Cardiff City two days before his death in a plane crash is under investigation after reportedly threatening to 'burn' the Premier League club and warning 'I'll shoot the lot of you'.
Willie McKay, who is no longer registered as a football agent but helped his son Mark complete the ill-fated Sala transfer, has been the subject of an investigation by South Wales Police over claims he threatened to kill Cardiff staff in a dispute about who is liable for damages following the tragedy.
It comes three weeks after McKay is said to have threatened to 'kill everybody' at the club after being embroiled in the complexities that came following the tragic incident.

Quite frankly for Cardiff to try to find a way to not pay the fee via any technicality (which is basically) is sick
They’ve tried blaming the pilot for not having a license to carry passengers commercially (whilst not providing their own transport and also showing no proof that the pilot had received any money, so the counter claim could be he was doing a favour and giving someone a lift...!)
Now they’re blaming the selling club for not getting paperwork in on time
Oh and the one main thing that has come out as well is that Cardiff themselves tried to break regulations around signing on fees
I hope they go down this season and sink out of the league for good. Absolute shameless scum.

I presume they are trying to prove that the agent admitted he planted stories to increase the price. Even better if Nantes or the player knew. Just trying to muddy the waters even more to get out of paying the full fee.

Cardiff wanted to sign Jarrod Bowen from Hull as a replacement whilst Sala was still declared missing
That says it all
Bowen told them to do one...

Cardiff have just given Nantes the 2 fingers instead of a transfer fee.
Seems a bit cunty in my eyes.

Peckham,
McKay said in his very strange email to Sala that his team had planted the stories about us and Everton being interested and without quite saying it clearly implied we weren't. So it may not have been a case of him choosing Cardiff, it seems they were actually the only real interest over here at least.
Then again McKay also said he'd represented Drogba in the same email and from what I understand (I tried to look it up but all the results were in French) Drogba has denied that so who knows- although it wouldn't surprise me if McKay had managed to get himself a cut somehow without the players knowledge. It sounds like him, and there seem to be so many different people involved in deals now that it is entirely possible. With Sala he even suggested getting his (Sala's, not McKay's) mother into the deal as an 'agent' for an extra bit of cash.
Sickens me we ever had anything to do with the crook, and that's not just because of this incident.

There's a private jet and there's a glorified hand-glider designed for short hop ferrying in tropical climes during the calm season - which I'm pretty sure is not suitable for the notorious cross-winds of the Bay of Biscay/English Channel in the middle of winter.......
Indeed. It is all about egos, greed and false promises by agents. Giving it the large, then thinking hold up this is coming out of my pocket, looks on Yelp or rings his mate in a boozer , any local part time moonlighting Pilots, ah the part time DJ and boiler fella ,has a pilots license. Agent thinks sweet, I will bump up the invoice for transporting him. Cunts. Should the Pilot have some degree of blame for flying at that time, in those conditions in clearly a fragile plane. But again egos or greed. Would not have wanted to look bad by cancelling flight for better weather or was grabalicious for the what he thought would be easy money.
If our cako , well travelled Manuel , can fly Ryan Air to Spain with no shame yet safely then so can the next man , celebrity footballer.
Fcuk cyber RIPs. But sincere condolences for the families who may actually read social media unlike the bloody dead.
FFS Only player I wanted to sign this season. 1. he chooses Cardiff FFS. Then chooses to get on a plane that as proven he was nervous about.
